Also known as ACV, as we’ll call it sometimes in a moment, apple cider vinegar can truly feel like a miracle. Its greatest gift is in balancing for a diet which includes animal fats and occasional indulgences.
This balancing effect can beat the bloat, increase our metabolism and weight loss, brighten our skin, ease digestion, and so much more.
While we’re not here to give you medical advice, it’s certainly something to consider as an aid with your lifestyle. There is NO shortage of info out there if you search online for ACV with terms like “weight loss” and “health benefits”.
I’d love to share with you four of my ABSOLUTE favorite ways to use ACV, which I hope you’ll enjoy along with me!!
Read on for 4 fabulous ACV recipes (for your skin AND belly...!)
#1 // 1-liter Morning Cleanse
This surprisingly delicious drink is reminiscent of the Master Cleanse (an intense but often effective cleansing protocol created by Stanley Burroughs).
It’s also a lot like the delicious drink made by Bragg’s.
And, it’s intended to be cleansing, refreshing, balancing (especially to the organs that help us to filter, the liver and kidneys).
I prefer it at room temperature, but you can add some ice if preferred or even drink it warm!
4 cups filtered water
1/8 cup ACV
1/8 cup coconut nectar, grade B maple syrup, or stevia drops to taste
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Just combine it all together, making sure the sweetener is well combined before adding the optional ice.
#2 // Simple Facial Toner
You might be shocked that this feels so soft and lovely on your skin, giving fancier toners a run for their money!
2 parts filtered water
1 part ACV
Fill a small spray bottle with this mix, then you can sprits it onto a facial pad to wipe down your face.
#3 // Foot Soak
This foot soak is incredibly relaxing, softens your feet, and can help relieve pain too.
2 liters very warm water
1 cup ACV
1/3 cup Epsom salt
20 drops lavender essential oil (optional)
Add the very warm water into a foot spa (or large dishpan basin dedicated to this activity, as an alternative), then add the other ingredients. You may need to agitate the epsom salt so it dissolves into the water more quickly. ENJOY soaking your feet, and relax!
#4 // 5-Ingredient Magic Salad Dressing
Part of the magic in this dressing is that it stores beautifully, avoids potential allergens, and is incredibly balancing both for the flavors and your organs. The touch of coconut aminos really adds a pop too. So good!
1/2 cup olive oil or avocado oil
1/3 cup ACV
1/8 cup coconut aminos
1 teaspoon coconut nectar or maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon pink or sea salt
Simple add it all together into an airtight jar, and you’re good to go!
